Sorry I've been MIA for the last few days. It was V-day after all. I thought we were just going to Trattoria della Rose for a nice romantic dinner, but instead----------the hubs surprised me with tickets to Tony 'n' Tina's Wedding at the civic center. What a sweetheart. (Forget anything bad I've said about him in the past-LOL!!) First, all the actors are guests at the wedding. You could be sitting next to one and you don't even know it! Second, it's hilarious. Reminded me of a wedding I once went to --- MINE! Hee hee. A great time was had by all. We wound up going to Friday's afterward for some dessert (i wonder how many points the strawberry cheesecake has! LOL!)

Anyways, Lucky is feeling much better, thank you very much. Back to her old misbehaving self! LOL! I am starting to put together a list of all the things I want to pack for Vegas (note to myself: go to Victoria's Secret!!!) I am going to bring the Davinci Code for the plane; and I think three nice outfits for the evenings. I still have to figure out what to bring for during the day. Okay--can you say SO Excited!?!?

Anyone missing their daily dose of Trista & Ryan info?! I swear, I feel like I am going through withdrawal. If anyone hears any gossip about those two, let me know.

Well, I'd better start fixing dinner. Tuesdays are casserole night. Gotta run!

Stay kool!

Well, I'm off to the vet. One of my girls is very sick. It seems Lucky has some kind of awful stomach bug, poor thing. : ( She's been throwing up since last night and when I let her out back to do her business, she just sat there while Lolly ran around. I just hope Lolly hasn't caught it yet.

Have you heard? Leah Remini is preggers. The King of Queens happens to be one of my favorite shows. Honestly, some of those episodes could be about ME and the hubs. That show is so True! So now, I wonder if her character will be pregnant too. I'd love to see that!

BTW...I am betting on a ring from E-bay. It's so beautiful--I'd link to it so you could all see, but then I am afraid you'll try to win it too! Too funny! Just one thing though--if the hubs finds out he'll kill me. I am under strict orders NOT to order any more E-bay--at least until after Vegas. We are saving up big time for that trip. I am even thinking of hosting a Chef's Party to make some extra $$ on the side. LOL!

Gotta run. Poor Lucky just threw up again. Chunky style!

I only have a minute but HELLOOOO! Did you see Miss Dion last night at the Grammy's? Boy, can she sing. I am glad her hair is longer now, because I wasn't the biggest fan of her short haircut. I heard she cut it for the show since she does a lot of acrobatics and didn't want it to get caught in anything. What a true artist.

I also saw the Outcasts perform. Whoa! Are they from another planet or what?! LOL! But I do like that one song. They play it in my step aerobics class and it really gets me pumped!

BTW, you MUST rent Under the Tuscan Sun. It's soooo romantic. And Miss Diane Lane is great in it.

And now I shed a tear because there's only two more episodes of Sex & the City. The commercial they did after last night's episode almost made me cry! You will be missed, girls!

Later!

Another snowy Friday night...thanks Indiana! We were supposed to see Mystic River, but that was before I realized that Julia Roberts is NOT in this version! Somehow I got it confused with Mystic Pizza. I can be a dimwit sometimes--in fact, that's the hub's "pet name" for me. Dimwitted Deb. Or Double-D's. (But he actually says it kinda cute, so I don't really care!! He's just a teddy bear at heart. LOL) Anyways, now we are just going to rent Under the Tuscan Sun starring Diane Lane and order in some General Tso's. I really want to see this one. I've loved Diane Lane ever since the Outsiders and I do believe she is really a Good person.

Blockbuster here I come.

Signing off...for now.

P.S. Does anyone know how I can insert smilies? : )
OMG! I can't believe I forgot to tell you the coolest thing. Well, I have been complaining to the hubs for the last couple of years that we never go anywhere good for our anniversary (lucky number 7...or seven year itch?? coming up, might I add). Lainie and Rick went to Atlantic City for theirs last year, and my girlfriend Kailey goes to Sanibel Island every year with her thoughtful Don (extra points for you, Don!!). Anyways, I think I must have dropped enough hints this year because guess where yours truly is going...................

Las Vegas!! But that's not even the best part! We are going to see Celine's show! I read that she was having some respiratory problems this week and a couple of performances were cancelled. Thank G-d that our tickets weren't for those shows. I would have locked myself in the room and cried all weekend. Or lost some serious moola at the slots! So, we are finally going to see my number-one, all-time favorite "grrrl"---Celine Dion! T minus 27 days and counting. A "New Day" definitely has begun in my marriage! I can't wait to see what Dragone has done this time. If she sings "My Heart Will Go On" I will absolutely lose it. Hello? Kleenex please! LOL!

Now I really have to run. But not before I give a birthday "shout-out" to someone who is an inspiration to me everyday. I think you know who I am talking about. Happy 50th Oprah!! May the next 50 years be as full of love and happiness and good books as the first! Steadman, you better buy her something good!

See ya!
Welcome to my "blog"!! I am so excited. Thank you for coming to check me out. I have a lot to say, so just be prepared because I am not one to "hold my tongue" (just ask the hubs!).

I guess I'll start at the beginning, with my blog name. Koolgrrrl's Guide to Life...First, I am a pretty cool lady. I spelled it with a K, because it's a little off the wall, and I've seen a lot of people use three "r"s in the word girl--and I think it really makes you stand out! So it's kind of a wacky way to spell it--but that's OK because I'm kind of wacky. You'll see what I mean once you start reading my posts! LOL!! The "Guide to Life" part is because I guess I have a lot to say about life--the little things, the big things. I was thinking of calling it Koolgrrrl's Chicken Soup for the Blog, but I felt like that would be seen as blaspheming my favorite book EVER!!

I have to go. The hubs needs me to pick up his dry cleaning and I need to take the car in. Oh--one more thing--I haven't learned how to do links yet. But when I do--watch out, because I have lot of sites that are too cool for school. Or maybe I should say too Kool for Skool! LOL!

Later gators!
